LTX Studio is Lightricks' production workspace for turning scripts and storyboards into video, with tools for consistent elements, camera control, node-based flows and pitch decks. It runs Lightricks' own LTX-2.5 model, whose weights are openly released, alongside partner models like Veo 3.1, Kling and Seedance. It suits filmmakers, agencies and brand teams planning multi-shot projects.

Best for
  • LTX-2.5 weights and code are public; free for companies under $10M revenue
  • Storyboard, script-to-video and pitch deck tools for pre-production
  • Partner models (Veo 3.1, Kling, Seedance) available on higher tiers
Watch out for
  • Free plan is personal use only and its credits are one-time
  • Commercial license starts at the $35/month Standard plan, not Lite
  • Veo 3.1 access requires the $125/month Pro plan

Mochi 1 is an open text-to-video model from Genmo, built on its Asymmetric Diffusion Transformer architecture with about 10 billion parameters. Weights and inference code are released under Apache 2.0, and there is a LoRA fine-tuning trainer. Genmo also runs a free web playground. It is best for researchers and tinkerers who want a permissively licensed model to run or fine-tune.

Best for
  • Permissive Apache 2.0 license
  • Native ComfyUI support, including consumer-GPU workflows
  • Includes a LoRA fine-tuning trainer for your own videos
Watch out for
  • Reference repo needs about 60GB VRAM on a single GPU (at least one H100 recommended); ComfyUI can run it in under 20GB
  • Released as a research preview at 480p only, and Genmo says it handles animated content poorly
  • The only public checkpoint is still mochi-1-preview from October 2024
