Privacy Policy

What Best AI Video collects when you browse, submit a tool or contact us, and how we use it.

Last updated: 2026-10-23

This policy explains what information Best AI Video ("we", "us") collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website and its forms. We've kept it short and specific to what the site actually does.

The short version

  • You can browse the whole directory without an account. We don't run advertising trackers.
  • When you submit a tool or contact us, we store what you type, your email and your IP address, so we can review it, reply and block spam.
  • We don't sell or rent personal information.

What we collect

When you browse

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (IP address, browser user agent, requested page, time) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Preferences stored in your browser. A theme (light/dark) preference and, if you change language, a PARAGLIDE_LOCALE cookie. These stay on your device and only change how the site looks.
  • Tool logos. Tool logos are loaded from Google's public favicon service (www.google.com/s2/favicons). Your browser requests those images directly from Google, which receives your IP address and the page you're on as part of that request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Analytics. We do not currently run third-party analytics. If we add them, we'll update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it.

When you submit a tool (/submit)

  • The tool's URL, name, description, categories, pricing and spec fields you enter or confirm.
  • Your email address, so we can tell you when the listing is reviewed.
  • Your IP address and the submission time, to prevent spam and duplicate submissions.
  • If you're signed in, your account ID.

AI drafting. When you click "Analyze", our server fetches the public homepage and pricing page of the URL you entered and sends that page text to an AI model run on Cloudflare Workers AI to draft your listing. Only the website's public text is sent — not your email or IP address.

Badge verification. If you ask us to verify the "Featured on" badge, our server fetches your homepage to check for a link to this site.

When you contact us (/contact)

Your name, email, topic, message, any URL you include, and your IP address.

If you create an account

Your name, email address and a hashed password (or the profile your sign-in provider shares), plus session cookies that keep you signed in. Accounts are optional and only useful for managing submissions.

How we use it

  • To review, publish and maintain listings, and to email you about your submission or message.
  • To detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse of our forms.
  • To keep the site running and secure.

We don't use your submission data for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you. The AI draft is a starting point; a person reviews every listing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with providers that help us run the site, under their own data protection terms:

  • Cloudflare — hosting, database (D1) and AI inference (Workers AI).
  • Google — tool logo images, as described above.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public. If paid listing options are launched, payment details will be handled by the payment provider; we won't store card numbers.

What's published

Published listings show information about the tool (name, description, pricing, specs, links). We never publish the submitter's email or IP address.

How long we keep it

  • Tool submissions: while the listing exists, and up to 24 months after a rejected or removed submission, so we can recognise repeat submissions.
  • Contact messages: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
  • Server logs are kept by Cloudflare under its retention policy.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see below).

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, use the contact form and choose "Privacy or data request". We'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

International transfers

Cloudflare operates a global network, so your information may be processed outside your country. Cloudflare provides safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For material changes we'll add a notice on the site.
